 Washing Your Hair.

  • Before every wash, separate each bond and make certain that the hair is free of tangles.
  • Do not wash your hair for 2 – 3 days after the extensions are fitted.
  • When washing your hair, do not tip your head over the bath or sink and do not wash it in the bath as this could cause tangling. Always wash your hair with your head upright – in the shower is ideal.
  • DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR WHEN WET- As your hair still wet, some of your extensions could slip out and you could lose them, Brush your hair carefully, and only when it’s completely dry. Start from the bottom, from the hair tips and go up progressively area by area, slow and gently.
  • Always brush out any knots before you wash your hair, swim or sleep, Start at the bottom and work your way up slowly.
  • When shampooing hair wash scalp thoroughly to keep free from bacteria.
  • Ensure your hair is thoroughly washed using an organic shampoo and conditioner, free from silicone or sulphate.
  • Only condition from mid length to the ends of your hair as any conditioner on the roots may cause slippage.
  • When going swimming, keep your head above the water level and make sure to wash your hair immediately afterwards to remove all traces of chlorine.
  • Heated rollers, straightening irons, crimpers and tongs can all be used on the extension hair, although it is advisable to use a heat protection spray to protect both your hair and the extension hair.
  • Perming is very damaging to hair and our advice is not to perm your extensions. Any perming of the extensions is done so at your own risk.

You may get your roots touched up without any problems, once again avoid the bonds and extension hair, this is usually carried out by just colouring the t-section.

HOW DO I DRY AND STYLE MY HAIR:  After rinsing the conditioner pat dry, apply serum on the ends, rough dry, then in sections start smooth blow drying with a round brush or paddle brush making sure the bristle doesn’t have bobbles that can catch. Always make sure that the bonds are dry and give them a cold blast to make sure they cool down to stay strong and hold the hair well. Never sleep with your hair wet. You can tong or straighten with irons as you please.

  • If you are using Hair Straighteners or tongs, do not put them on the bond. This will cause the bonds to weaken and slide and eventually fall out.

Styling products such as hair sprays, mousse and serums may be used, but you should avoid applying them near the bonds

HOW DO I BRUSH MY HAIR: Brush every day from dry, take sections hold the roots firmly and gently start from the ends and work your way up towards the roots. Use after care conditioning spray to detangle. Make sure your bonds are separated at the roots. The use of serum is recommended.

* Do not sleep with wet hair. Ensure it is dry before going to bed. It is recommended to gently tie your hair up to prevent tangling too.

* Before going to sleep, put your hair into a plait or tie it.

up loosely to avoid any tangling during the night.

Avoid going to bed with wet hair.

  • Brush your hair with a Paddle brush before washing your hair. This will stop your hair getting tangled when washing your hair.
